Little Things

 Watching videos tonight and clearing off my desk a bit. I was looking around my space and I have all these little bits and bobs, and decided I needed to work on finding places for them to go. So, now I'm knitting on some I cord...

I went through a lot of small balls of yarn, and figured this green yarn would make a good cord. I need a place to hang all of these fidget spinner thingies, and then I have quiet a few bears and mushroom patches that need a home also. I figure I'll hang them up clothesline style from a cord with sewing clips, and then the fidgets can just be all strung together in a stack. Ten fidgets per cord won't be too hard to pull down and hang back up if I get a booth at a craft fair, and it'll make for a nice back drop of projects.

I also finished the second side to the hexi sweater, and will have that together by next week! It looks so good! I'm gonna do a second one and then maybe start putting some up on my Etsy shop.

That's the other news... as of next week I will be opening my Etsy back up! I looked into maybe getting a webpage, or doing a Shopify account or things like that, and this ol dog doesn't like learning new tricks. My daughter challenged me to learn Tiktok, and that's about enough for me! lol I'm having a good time on there, making slideshows, chatting with people. I'm almost halfway to 1000 subs, and can do live shows after that. That's my goal by the end of Feb, to be doing lives! Anyway, that's life for now!

Half Way There

Last night I finished the first half of the sweater, and then promptly used my hair clips to clip up the top seam, to half try it on!!! 22 rows is just enough (size K hook)!!! I don't think I'm going to want it any longer, or the sleeves any different either. If anything I might cuff the sleeves to draw them in a little. I might make another one with bigger bell sleeves, because my youngest daughter thinks that would be waaaayyy cool!!!  

So there it is!!! Much progress! Lets see if I can get this done by the weekend!!!

Fresh On The Hook!

 So, I finished up the Dew Drop shawl (pictures soon) two days ago, and started a brand new project! Like I need another project, right?  But this one has been on my "I wanna make that!" list forever!!! The Hexie Cardi!!!! I was watching TikTok lives the other day and there's a creator on there making them, and I was just doing the last row of shells on the shawl, and I look over at my yarn stash and I have two skeins of Caron Jumbo Ombre in there in the color Sepia. I figure two should more than cover it, so I pull them out and look up a Youtube tutorial until I find one I like... here! And I am hooked!!! I love this thing so much! I am even taking a new project bag around with me, because there's no room in my regular project bag for a whole Jumbo skein of yarn. Here's the progress so far... 

Today is the third day, and I am almost finished the first half!!! 

In other crochet news... my local stores are no longer handing out plastic bags. They call them one use, but 99.5% of the time I get two, if not three uses out of them. We very rarely throw away plastic shopping bags straight from the store! So anyway, no more bags. So I have this very full tub of granny squares, and I could get maybe three twin size afghans out of them... oooooorrrr, around 12 shopping bags!!! So I'm thinking I'm going to be putting together a bunch of shopping bags in the next couple of weeks using this method!!! Lots of items coming up shortly.

This week my daughter also challenged me to make a tiktok 😱 so, today I watched some Youtubes on how to post a TikTok. I followed a step by step guide, and posted my first ever crochet slideshow pictures over there! Yaayyy! I guess todays theme should be... youtube is great for everything you need to know. lol

New Year, Fresh Start!

 So I saw this back in November. We're (and by we're I'm talking me and my daughters) working on seriously decluttering some things around here. So today I started a little notebook and printed out my pages. Here's the Decluttering website I got the charts from. You just need to sign up with your email. Here's a pic of my journal, and then what I put in the inside cover. I got a little tin pencil art kit for Christmas and it's going to be perfect for color coding what I tossed from where. I'm just going to write the date in the journal and then how many and what I decluttered from what area of the house... 

And my first check marks...

Seven items purged from cleaning the bathroom today!  Feels good! Starting the year off with cleaning And crocheting!!!! I like that! More about the crocheting tomorrow!

Happy New Year!!!!

 Rang in the new year with the kiddo's! Watched some youtubes on bartending after talking with them about all the mixed drinks out there. lol I think my middle son now wants to become a fancy bartender! 

Two days ago I was finally able to find another skein of the Caron Jumbo Ombre yarn in the colorway White Water! I have been looking for weeks now and JoAnns finally got some in! So today is a nice quiet day of crocheting as I work on finishing up the Dewdrop Wrap! I found the pattern on Ravelry a few months back. Nice easy four row repeat!!!! It's coming out pretty!!!
