Fun For The Upcoming Holidays...

So, I'm on a RaoK crochet group, and two of the things I've come across this past week were small little crocheted items, and I took a couple of afternoons and whipped up these cute little Shamrock Lucky Penny holders first. I am really liking the way they turn out, with the little penny inside shining out. Not sure it turns up too well in the photos, but irl they look great! Here's the Ravelry link to the Lucky Penny! Take a look at all of Pan's patterns while you're there!  There are a lot of really cute little things to make!

The note that goes with them from the RaoK group says, "May your blessings outnumber the shamrocks that grow, and may trouble avoid you, wherever you go!" An alternate saying is, "Many times in life you just need a little luck, if the path you're on is bumpy, or you're simply feeling stuck, when you're up against a challenge, or have something big to face, this lucky little penny, may be you saving grace!" I'm going to be handing these out all over the place the week of St Patrick's Day!!! My dad was a St Patrick's day baby, and somehow it's always seemed like a little Irish luck to me. We're all Irish on St Patty's day, amirite???

And then this little bunny showed up in my feed, and man oh man, did this work up quick!!! I remember trying the spiral before on other things and I just couldn't figure it out, but now I've got the hang of it thanks to the graph I'm going to be making the hearts and the kitty cats and all the spiral things!!! This one is in bright orange and yellow. I think the next bunny I make will be in dark and light purples! So many combos! So many scraps to use up!

I have more to post soon. There's a couple of blankets I'm working on finishing off, and then I need a day with good light to get some pics! Hope everyone is staying warm and toasty! ✌

Making Cording

Since my fall I haven't been able to do too much of any crafting, because of the aches and pains and bruising. Truly, I've just been...
